budget isolation resolution (BIR)

If three-fifths of the legislative body votes to pass a budget isolation resolution, it allows them to bypass the appropriations process and vote on the bill. A legislator’s vote on a BIR can often be a good indication of how they intend to vote on the bill itself. In this case, the pro-conservation vote is NO.

Warren amendment

Rep. Pebblin Warren introduced an amendment to HB140 that would have addressed many of our concerns. HB140’s sponsor, Rep. Baker, made a motion to table the Warren amendment, and the legislators voted on that motion. In this case, the pro-conservation vote is NO.
